Nobleman's Shirt

A man's shirt did much more than provide modesty and protection from the sun.  It provided an easily laundered layer between the skin and more expensive layers of clothing.  The emphasis on the nobleman's shirt is on the collar and cuffs, as the body of the shirt is often hidden under additional layers.  Collar and cuffs are accented with ruffles or pleats of the same fabric as the shirt. The shirt is full enough to be pulled through doublet openings for puffing effects.  Embroidery is optional.

Pricing starts at $120 (non-embroidered) and $140 (embroidered) and can go up depending on fabrics & embellishments chosen or design changes.  As with most of our garments, you can request changes in the design to suit your needs or vision of the outfit.

We love embroidery, and can add it to a variety of clothing.  We have many more designs to choose from, but these are some that we think look really good on shirts. As for cost, adding embroidery to a piece generally just increases the "construction time" cost.  However, be aware that some designs take much longer to embroider than others.  Black silk thread is available for an extra charge.
