Doublet from Single Fabric

A doublet is a man's snug-fitting jacket that is shaped and fitted to the man's body which was worn in Western Europe in from the late Middle Ages through to the mid-17th century. The doublet was hip length or waist length and worn over the shirt.  Single fabric doublets can be very basic or richly decorated by embroidery, cutwork, and other embellishments.  Ours "standardly" comes fully lined, with collar, shoulder wings, and a short 4-part skirting.  As always, these can be customized for your particular needs. Detachable sleeves are optional.

Single fabric doublets start at $100.  Many types of embroidery, slashing, and embellishment are seen in historic portraits on doublets made of a singe fabric.  Obviously, adding these decorative elements to your doublet would affect the cost.  Detachable sleeves are available and start at $50/pair.
