Children's Victorian fashions still mimicked the adult fashion trends, but they became slightly simpler
to allow children a little more freedom in their activities. While girls might still have worn hoops and tons of lace,
but the dresses weren't expected to reach floor length until the girls were of "courting" age. Boys still
wore dresses until the time they were breeched, sometimes making it difficult to identify which were brothers or sisters
in old photographs!
